Phillip And his staff have created a wonderful atmosphere and a comfortable place to stay
This is one of my favorite places stay in the area. Phil and his staff are always a pleasure to deal with. The 1846 Tavern is a great place to hang out and offers live music. We also enjoy talking to Cliff, one of the bartenders there. What a guy! Dinner there never disappoints and the complimentary breakfast has a lot of great choices. These are all reasons why I keep going back there every year! I love this place!
Rooms are cozy and clean, the owners are super friendly, such a great place to stay! Feels like all the comforts of home. Highly recommend.
I've been going to the West Dover Inn and 1846 Tavern for years. I've always liked the quality food, relaxed ambience and often great music. It were for these reasons that I decided to have my wedding reception there. Best decision I ever made. The food was honestly the best I've ever had at a wedding, they served over 100 people seamlessly. My cake (made by someone else) started to topple as the guests were arriving and the chef made the time to save it. My friends did the flowers but despite the fact that I didn't ask for or expect it, they decorated more and added beautiful touches including 100's of Mums. It poured that evening and they were prepared. There were large standing umbrellas for the smoking section and the staff literally held golf umbrellas for the little unprotected section between the tent and the building. We stayed at the Inn that night. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom gorgeous. And their thoughtfulness didn't stop at all the little touches, when we got back to our room, they had left out my favorite wine and my husband's favorite beer!
Starting point for the Green Mountain Adventure Challenge. Staff has always been pleasant and helpful if able. No qualms. Have not seen the rooms so I can't attest to that. Small bar/restaurant available.
