Everyone at Mt Snow Lodge is a great place to stay. They make you feel like you're a part of a family and you're guests in their home. The food is top notch. Honestly it's way better than what I anticipated not to play down the atmosphere. It's around the corner from Mount Snow. I couldn't ask for anything more.
Little junky great service great price
I must say, the first time I stayed at this place I was very skeptic, that was in February when they got a foot and a half of snow, (what an Friggin good time) upon check out, I realize that I got a good deal for the location and free breakfast in the morning. I returned to this hotel for another stay on the top floor this time, oh man, the views of the mountains were incredible however, the place could use updating, it did have a fridge, the beds and bath were clean, had some good conversations with the owner Tim, nice guy. Although I do miss a hot tub, price is right, I would return there and recommend this hotel for your next stay, ladies, you're not buying the place, It's just a few nights stay.
So we were attending the 22nd Mount Snow beer fest, through that main site they were offering packaged deals for the associated area lodges The lodge and Mount Snow Lodge. The Lodge was walking distance from the festival and was the best deal in the packages. Check in is 4pm which is late considering other checks in, and if you are traveling out of state, best be prepared for other activities. The outside of the building hopefully has seen better years, like 10-15 years ago. Definitely a Frat house stay and upkeep maintenance. Right when we pulled in, we were very skeptical this would be a good getaway beer festival event. The room and place smelled like an dirty pool. The room had black mold on the ceiling, there was no microwave or coffee machine. Our bedroom window only opened when you pushed on it, and closed when you went outside to push it close! The ceiling fan was permanently on, could not stop it! The free breakfast was good, waitstaff was friendly. We stayed in rm 111, we had an second exit to the outside, which was nice. However the outer doors were easily accessed (no swipe). We were located nearest to the fire pit which was nice but not considering that people staying up late- drinking would be conscious of the same. Beer bottles and trash was left on the yard area. When we arrived our room didn't come with tissues, only shampoo. Before and after housekeeping didn't seem to clean anything ( i used to work as housekeeping) When housekeeping came no refills on those items, including toilet paper. Additionally didn't replenish for new towels, and toilet paper. They gave us our old and dirty towels - folded back up. Being the ground floor the upstairs was amplified. A few times, we were concerned that someone was going to come through the ceiling. The room looked like recently 'updated' with paint which wasn't covering all the walls or completely! there were nicks in the walls and damages. We avoided placing anything on the carpet, or clothed furniture, all of it seemed very dirty. 2 positives: free breakfast, and walking distance to the Summit. In all, we didn't stay for our whole stay which was 2 nights, we spent one night and then left. The lodging killed our stay and comfortableness.
A disappointing experience, while staying over at Deer Creek Condos related to this group. While the house itself was quite spacious, there was no heating available in the house and no one could fix it. It was a very difficult night where we had to accommodate young kids and the next day management was of no help to us. Additionally there is no wifi and minor amenities as well, to keep in mind.
Nicely done Tim.
